INTRODUCING...
YOU. WE. PICKY EATING
You. We. Picky Eating is a supportive 4 week online programme led by an occupational therapist, who has made it her mission to bring calm and connection back to mealtimes, by supporting children and families with real, simple and fun strategies that can be done at home.
Each week, we meet online for an hour to explore strategies, try out fun activities together, and build confidence step by step. It’s practical, affordable, and designed to bring joy and connection back to mealtimes, one step at a time.
The programme will help you understand your child’s eating and gives you evidence‑based strategies that are shaped around their needs. You can ask questions anytime, so the support always feels personal and practical.
And with a warm community beside you, the whole journey feels a lot less heavy and mealtimes a lot more connected.

Hi, I'm Shelly.
You do not need another expert telling you what you should be doing.
You need someone who understands how hard this can feel and knows how to support you without judgement.
I am an occupational therapist with 15 years of experience supporting children and families. Much of my work has focused on picky eating, sensory differences, and regulation, especially for neurodivergent children.
I work with parents who are:
- Doing their best.
- Trying everything they can.
- Still feeling stuck and worried around food.
My approach is calm, practical, and realistic.
- No forcing bites.
- No pressure.
-No blame.
I focus on helping you understand why food feels hard for your child, and how small changes in routine, environment, and connection can make a real difference over time.
This Programme is RIGHT for You If...
Your CHILD:
- Is a PICKY EATER, whether neurotypical or neurodiverse.
- Eats a very limited range of foods, avoids food groups, or finds eating stressful
- Experiences anxiety, overwhelm, sensory differences or strong reactions around food
- Finds mealtimes, emotional, difficult or unpredictable.
- Is between 1.5 and 10 years old
YOU:
- Worry about nutrition, health, stress, or social situations involving food and your child
- Feel exhausted by pressure, power struggles or conflicting advice around feeding
- Want practical, realistic and evidence-informed strategies that are easy to use at home
- Would value support, reassurance and being part of a community of parents who understand
This programme is designed to gently support parents in reducing stress and pressure around meals while helping children build safer, more positive relationships with food over time.
It is educational, supportive and parent-focused in nature, rather than intensive 1:1 feeding therapy.
This Programme May Not Be the Right Fit If...
Your CHILD:
-
Has swallowing safety concerns that require specialist dysphagia management, e.g. children with Cerebral Palsy
-
Requires urgent medical intervention related to feeding safety or hydration
-
Requires intensive 1:1 specialist feeding therapy as their primary support
-
Is medically unstable or awaiting urgent medical assessment related to feeding
- Your child is under 1.5 years old.
Please note:
This programme does not replace medical, dietetic or specialist feeding intervention.
Children with medical histories or early feeding difficulties, may still benefit, alongside ongoing support from their medical or feeding team.
YOU:
-
Are not open to being actively involved in the process or trying the strategies discussed within the programme
-
Are looking for intensive individual feeding therapy, rather than parent-focused education and support
-
Like any support programme, what you put in is often what you get out.
